OK, I know what you're thinking. "What kind of Douchebag wankery is this? Ain't sushi just raw fish - how can that be vegeterian? OMG That is so niche that it hurts". But you know what? It works. It works HARD.
Firstly, let's get the Sushi Fish thing out the way...
Sushi is more to do with the rice, a sticky style rice with a topping. It's like the theory is to make sure each bite has something nice, containing at least a little bit of everything. The fact that most sushi comes with fish - and raw fish at that - is a coincidence; a delicious tasty one; but still a coincidence.
Also, people who enjoy Sushi, and I've done ZERO googling on this, seem to enjoy Niche things, such as Veggie - I know a few people who eat little to no meat, who would love this place.
Also, because no longer you need daily fresh produce & containers - it means the price drops dramatically.
And you can almost always tell a place is 100% legit - by the fact that they sale pickles. I'd love for them to do a Tofu Katsu Curry; or anything Katsu'd up with a big plate of rice, curry sauce & those important pickles.
About the Owners
I'm afraid I'm rubbish with names, but this place is run by a lovely couple - who have an (unbelievably-) long-haired dachshund - 15 years old too! That's 150 years in human years - it's practically Victorian on that leap of logic. I've Never seen one of them in my life until they showed me the photos.
They love to talk
So where on earth is this place?
About halfway between the Everyman Cinema (the Odeon Cinema) and the Job Centre - same side of the road. It's about a 10 min walk down the hill from Barnet Highstreet (

And what about the store part?
About half the place is a fantastic store filled with all kinds of specialist
Will you go there again?
Every few weeks or soo I think, all things depending - but it's right near where I'm at so when passing i'd go. I wouldn't make a special journey though.
