OK, firstly, I hate the term Man Bag; especially for this; as I don’t think it matters what gender you are when you’ve got such a useful bag. It’s more of a Man Bag in the respect that it’s a bag that a man can use as a out-n-bout bag, like a handbag; as well as everyone else; where as most ‘Hand Bags’ are traditionally female focused. So let’s call it from here on out a Perfect Practical Bag; or Gadget Bag.
Perfectly Sized Back Pocket
You know how some things like seem to work out; well, all my devices all seem to fit on this bag just as I need. My Logitech Keys-to-go Keyboard fits (to the mm) with the back of the bag; and my iPad Mini 4 that I’m typing on now also fits in perfectly in the back pocket. I can also fit i one of those card-style Stands. (Mental note: review the Logitech Keys to Go - a perfectly minute keyboard that you can practically touch-type on & fits perfectly in any bag...In here is my iPad Mini with case that acts like a stand, and the Logitech Keys To Go. Fits just right.).
Next up we got the front pockets.
There is one on the flap that; once again, perfectly; its my keys including the chain that I keep on he keys so they don’t fall out when Schmuck over here doesn’t close the zip properly. Ditto for my wallet and phone. Thankfully on the zips there is a loop that I can attach the keys and wallet on; and can even fit in my proper sized 'cans - the sennheiser PXS 550. What's also cool is that there is a little water-proof hole that I can fit two cables through, such as a charger cable and headphone cable Hurrah all round.
Then there are two pockets under that flap - the big one fits up my headphones (on-ear style; sennheiser PXC 550 for musicophiles - but any 'Cans' that fold in on themselves should be fine. I also have my backup BeatsX in the main part of the bag for just-incases... I seriously need to be able to block things out at any point in time sometimes Hashtag Mental Health) Anyway, when they’re folded up, they fit i just right; with room for my wallet too. The smaller front pocket fits my iPhone X just without a mm to spare on the height & about maybe 2/3 inches on the side for something else - A lighter and fags might just fit too.
Then there is the main cavity pocket,
This has a few internal flaps to separate out your pens / A5 ish sized books. I’d love for this to be bigger but oh’wells, can’t win them all. It’s good enough, but it stands at about 3.5 inches and I’d like just another inch - why oh why can’t we just have one my inch, in my life ! But still though, it’s not bad. I can generally fit what I need in there including my doddling book, Journel, and pens. Or my iPad Pro 10.5. I also keep in here a GPS tracker and a spare pair of headphones - but these need to be floopy, like Beats X or the Leophile Zero.
Then on the side of the bag is a drinks holder. There is also a few reinforced metal rings dotted about, that lets you hang things from; for example, I’ve got a couple of small foldable plastic bags for when I go to the market & see a new flavour of Haribo, Pringles or anything else that I should not be eating. They're light as a fever and just hang. Then I’ve also got hanging is a dog Treat Bag, which also has a holder for Nuks's Poop Bags. On the top there is a hole that goes from the main cavity to the outside world; which I have a USB cable going through with the charger in the bag & the thing-to-be-charged in one of he front pockets.
When out 'n About
What I really like about this bag is that it hangs from the front of you, as well as behind if you wanted - it’s almost like I’ve got a little baby bump, but it’s so handy being able to get at all the pockets without taking the bag off. I can even sit in the car with it.
So all in all, I really recommend this bag, it’s great ! I wanted that suited me just-right, didn’t want a big bag - I have plenty of those that I’ll be reviewing. I was a bit hesitant about having a triangle design on the bag, but actually the insides aren’t like that, and that makes carrying things much much easier.
Cool for Dog Walking & hole to put a charging cable connected to a battery.
Also what's super cool, is that with the rings that are in there, I can attach my dog lead to it & go hand's free. With the hole with plastic whether proofing, you can charge up your phone or listen your wired headphones , whist the charger is in the main compartment and the mobile is in the front where you can get to it easily.
I can fit all this stuff in the bag, but I change it up, depending on what i'm doing. For example, if i'm dog walking, i'll have a few treats, his poop bags are on the side, and a water bottle in the side bit. If I'm going to the cafe to do a bit of interneting and blogging whilst people watching and eating Belgum buns - then I load it up with other stuff etc.
Finally, the way it hangs, it means that I can get to the pockets without taking it off, or when I get in the car - again, because it's like an expectent mother's lump, on my front (rather than back), it makes life easier.
Excuse the thumb-marks, my photographer needs a few more lessons.
Total Marks: 9 / 12
This bag gets a solid 8/10 from me. If it just had maybe that extra inch in the main cavity pocket, then I’d be giving it a 9. In fact, let’s call this an 8.5; how’s that? That’s pretty good going in my books. Another downside is one of the visual-only bits came fallen off, which would have gained it a point. I don't really want to complain or send it back though because I love this bag so much.
I was thinking I was going to have to send this back when I ordered it, it was curiosity, but actually it’s turned out to be a total WIN. Yattah !
